Here is a longer, clearer version you can use on the PDF splitter page:
How to Use the PDF Splitter
Use this tool to split one PDF file into multiple smaller PDF documents. This is useful when you have a large PDF and want to divide it into separate files, for example by page range, section, chapter, invoice, certificate, or document type.
Step 1: Upload your PDF file
Click the upload button and select the PDF file you want to split. Make sure the file is complete and readable before uploading.
Step 2: Choose how many pages each new file should contain
Enter the number of pages you want in each separate PDF document. For example, if your PDF has 20 pages and you enter “5”, the tool will create 4 separate PDF files with 5 pages each.
Step 3: Click Run
After uploading your file and entering the number of pages per document, click Run. The tool will automatically split your PDF based on your selection.
Step 4: Download your new PDF files
Once the process is finished, you can download the separate PDF documents. Each file will contain the number of pages you selected, except possibly the last file if there are fewer pages remaining.
Example
If you upload a 12-page PDF and choose to split it every 3 pages, the tool will create 4 separate PDF files:
- File 1: pages 1–3
- File 2: pages 4–6
- File 3: pages 7–9
- File 4: pages 10–12
This tool does not change the content of your PDF. It only separates the original file into smaller PDF documents.
