Chen Shui-bian

Chen Shui-bian is a former politician of Taiwan who was president from 2000 to 2008. His elections ended after fifty years of rule. During his reign, the government system was quite stable and he was truly in support of basic human rights. He was a native-born Taiwanese, and therefore people also call him A-Bian. After entering politics in 1980, he became a member of the Taipei city council in 1981. Throughout his rule, his opponents have caused him several problems but his government never brought injustice for others.
